Wildlife Do's and Don'ts

Do remember, the best time for viewing wildlife is at dawn and during the late afternoon /early evening. Birds and most other animals are most active at those times. You will however see and experience various wildlife during other parts of the day as well.

Do carry field glasses, as they increase your chances of getting a good view without disturbing wildlife.

Do observe Trail User Code.

Don't pick wildflowers, berries and wild fruit. They have been planted here to supplement the diet of local and migrant wildlife.

Don't handle sick, injured or seemingly "abandoned" wildlife.

Don't feed bread and other unnatural foods to wildlife. Not only is it not beneficial, it may in fact add to their contracting certain diseases. Also it makes certain species somewhat dependent and can cause others to become mildly aggressive. Don't feed gulls, geese, ducks and swans.
